I can fully understand how this situation would make you so angry and upset. I would contact your local MP and get him/her involved, if nothing else it highlights the unfairness of the system and how your allowance for ill health will be paying towards council tax because your local council decides it will not disadvantage UC claimants to any degree that concerns them! I am a renter and know its hard enough to meet the cost of the monthly rent never mind be expected to pay Council tax Your MP being involved may help with an application to the hardship fund, I do hope so at the very least.
