Universal Credit, Housing Benefit and Benefits Cap

Hi,

I've worked out that with forced migration to UC I will be over £54 a week worse off.

However, I am confused over the inclusion of Housing Benefit under UC, and the Benfits Cap.

I live on my own in a council flat, I am 59, and receive Housing Benefit for my rent.

I receive Income Related ESA and Severe Disability payment.

Is it correct that my Housing Benefit will be considered as part of my overall Benefits under UC, and contribute towards the total amount under the Benefits Cap?

If this is the case, I will be a lot more worse off than just the £54 a week.

I had my Warm Home Disount stopped a few years ago when they rejigged the eligibility criteria.

I am so worried about this as I fear being made homeless if I cant pay my bills. I thought this new government would be more supportive, but they seem worse than the last lot..

The Assisted Dying Bill seems a solution if I can't pay my bills.
