Sent letter to Decision Maker today, but......

So off the back of my recent post about recieving my pip assessment report and finding so many mistakes and lies in it I spent the whole day yesterday going through it and highlighting the bits that would affect my point scores and explaining why in a 5 page letter, which I sent out today.

Only to find a few hours later a payment from PIP in my bank. So they've already made a decision and it looks like they've awarded me the standard daily living and no mobility.

What do I do now? Will this letter have been a waste of time and make no difference now? I'm adamant I should have been awarded high daily living the very least and I'm sure if I took it to appeal I could probably get the mobility as well because of my inability to drive alone on unfamiliar journeys which I've explained in detail throughout the process so far but seems to have been ignored.

Any advice?

Hi MummyBear

Unfortunately, if you have had money deposited, it means they have reached their decision. As soon as your decision letter arrives - you can reply to the address on the letter and resend your amended letter saying that this is a Mandatory Reconsideration or you prefer you can use form CRMR1. You only have one month from the date on the decision letter to send in your MR but that won't be a problem for you because you have already done all the work. Send it by tracked post.

Replied by MummyBear on topic Sent letter to Decision Maker today, but......
Ok thank you. I received the decision letter today, I was thinking of amending the original letter I wrote and making it into a MR. The decision maker has basically repeated what the assessor has said anyway.

Wish me luck....

Hi MummyBear,
Yes, job done! Rehash what you said in the letter as an MR.
Not sure whether you have made a critique of the assessment report- if you haven't, I usually work out the major criticisms into 4 or 5 brief bullet points, giving examples of the worst.
You can then give more detailed critism as appropriate going through all relevant descriptors and explaining the correct points level and why.
Good luck.
Let us know how you get on.
