Missed middle names on UC migration, then reported as change, was this right ? was created by Benson
When i did the ESA to UC migration on Wednesday (19th March) I missed out my middle names as it said "optional" so I just didn't do it. Then today, 23rd, I suddenly thought I should add them as they are on my passport and they may not be able to match up my ESA info, this is after I have done ID verify, etc. My passport identity check on Wednesday said fine, same as drivers license. So I am worried now that I have reported "change of personal details" and added my middle names that I will have to go in to the job centre or something to re-verify. Should I worry ? I didn't of course change my first and last name or DOB, just added middle names.
I tried to look on my details for letters from the JC/DWP over the past decade but the only ones I have are addressed to just my first and surname. This is because 8 years ago I asked them (DWP) not to send me letters with just my initials as my dads name was the same, whom I lived with, so I asked them to address letters to just my first and last name rather than initials as we kept opening each others post. Which they then did. So I have no idea now if they wiped my middle names back then or just changed how letters are titled in the post.
So to summarise, do you think reporting change of name, after ID check, will mean another check ? I know with the passport ID I added my middle names when it asked in that input box as it said to write exactly as it looks on my passport. It said the ID was complete and seemed to be okay. I wish they had asked for my NI number as then they could match easily. I also have no idea if they used all 3 of my middle names in the past or just 1 or 2 of them. I know my saved ESA WCA PDF forms I filled in I only wrote 2 of my 3 middle names as I still have the forms to check, but that has a NI number to match me. I don't think the UC migration asked for my NI.

Hi Benson
I think you should be ok. There are lots of other reasons that Work Coaches use to invite to the Jobcentre as Forum members will testify.
