can you claim the the disability component of universal credit and be in a relationship? can they ask you to do voluntary work or look for work... attend interviews ... i am in scotland what are the difference of being in a relationship and being single while claiming the disability component of universal credit.

Hi scottishlemonade

Universal Credit is the same in Scotland as in England. If you are placed in the Support/LCWRA group you don't have to do work related activities but you do if you are in the WRAG/LCW group.
The DWP cannot stop you from being in a relationship but that is different from " living together ". 2 people living together generally get less total Benefits than the same 2 people living apart.
