PIP Appeal - scores given by DWP on ending the appeal

I recently supported a friend for the second time with her pip appeal, which the DWP has ended prior to a hearing. They returned her award to its previous level (higher for DLTs and also for mobility), so the financial outcome is as we hoped.
However, the recent notice from DWP giving their scores for this outcome is somewhat bizarre - awarding points for activities that were not even appealed and awarding no points for appealed activities that had conclusive medical support.
I need to be clear of the implications of this for her next review as I am elderly and won't be able to help next time. There are no separate rationales given for the activities - DWP simply quotes their chosen descriptors. Should we attempt to clarify/challenge these or let things go, given the overall outcome? The most worrying activity is mobility - in the appeal papers we suggested 4 on Moving Around (DWP now giving 12) and we suggested 10 on Planning & Following...,with very strong medical evidence, and DWP gave 0.
Sorry for this detailed question but would really welcome some advice. Thank you!

Hi Lorrainep

I understand the dilemma. This is hard - because your friend has enhanced for mobility and daily care - and so if you take it to the Tribunal after all - what will they do? They may well agree with you or they may say they don't want to look at it.

As none of use know what the DWP changes will be and the fact that you will not be able to support your friend in the future - I would contact the DWP and tell them you want to challenge the scoring and see if they say your friend will have to go to appeal or whether they are willing to relook at it after all one can never be sure that the DWP has filled in the correct information for the right person.
