Hi celia239

Everyone who applies for UC has to attend a meeting with their work coach and sign a claimant commitment, that is the start of a UC claim, if you do not agree with a claimant commitment then your claim will be struck out.

We would advise you to seek advice from your local Welfare Rights Organisation.

Hi Celia

I assume that you are also receiving New Style ESA alongside your UC?

Can I ask if this letter was from ESA as opposed to UC?

I am in the process of migrating from IR ESA and CB ESA Support Group and I expect that I will receive New Style ESA as well as UC.

As far as I understand if you receive NS ESA you also have to accept a separate set of claimant commitments in addition to the ones you accept for UC online. Perhaps this is the reason for the call? The DWP are notoriously bad for wording things.
