Do you think assessors reading our forms pay more attention to our forms if we keep as much fluff out of our answers?

Short to the point answers that they can skim?

Bullet points even, maybe?

So quick explanation, then bullet points?

I'm thinking back to when I used to write my forms out by hand. I'd have questions started on the form then essays on paperwork attached.

They will have overwhelmed a busy assessor, and I'm now thinking they probably never read it all, and just got me in for a medical.

I always had medicals.

So now I'm not doing that, keeping answers as brief as possible with lots of line breaks for 3-4 line paragraphs typed out, so easy to read.

Maybe just maybe with what I have...I won't get called in for a medical.

Ps.

Anyone else noticed the huge changes to the PIP review questions?

What they don't take into consideration?

Looks to me they are really going out their way to make PIP harder to get. And getting some on it back into work. Because some of what they're not taking into consideration is crazy.

Hi laneif2,

I think it depends on the assessor tbh - in my own experience, some of them don't even bother to read the claimants notes, because they simply don't have the time. However, me personally, I'd put down every bit of vital information that you feel will help you, and keep a copy of the bullet points ready for when you have the assessment phone call.

I agree it seems to be getting tougher, but I think this is due to the changes being put in place by the government in hope to save millions on the welfare bill.

You might want to take a look at the PIP training course for further advice and help.

Regards, Chris.

I believe many need taking off PIP, so I don't disagree with the changes at all.

I think those who started new claims during covid phone medicals only, need to be seen in person asap and probably before review assessments for people who've had multiple face to face medicals with conditions that aren't going to improve with age.

Its obvious people took advantate of claiming pip over the phone to me.

Thanks I'll revisit the course.

These forms are getting harder with age. My brain and condition isn't dealing with the stress of it well at all.
