Limited capability was created by Blueallblue
I'm getting married later this year.
We both receive limited capability but my partner is saying when we get married only one of us can receive it.
Any help appreciated thank you.

Hi Blueallblue
Yes if you are talking about the Universal Credit LCWRA element then it can only be paid once in a UC couple claim.

Hi Blueallblue
The DWP and also the Council Tax department will look into the further circumstances of a couple who get married and then claim to be single people for Benefits purposes.

Thanks David.
Yes we understand that we will be looked into.
However we will be living apart for a good few years after we get married.
I own my own house and she rents.
We will both have separate bank accounts and will not be dependent on each other.
I fact the only thing that will change is a ring on our finger.
She has one dog and I have three and that won't work.
She has a teenage son at home and that deff won't work.
Sadly I see no prospect of him moving out anytime soon so looks like we will live apart for good few years.
