Im 74 years of age,. about 7 and a bit years ago I had a face to face appointment. with a medical professional.

Long story short, I was awarded maximum mobility component and middle range care.

I was wondering how long if ever you have to find out if your award has been extended if applicable./

Kindest regards to everyone and thanks.

Hi bluejay52

At 74, you should not have any more face-to-face or telephone assessments. You may receive an AR2 review form at some point, which will ask you just to confirm that your issues are ongoing, and that is it.

Hi jgregg

The government said there should be no need to assess claimants for PIP once they have passed State Pension Age. However, the DWP will always maintain the right to review a person's claim at any time.
