Online award check was created by M&E
Hi
I have just check my award details for ESSA on the new government website
The details it gives are
Your entitlement details
You were awarded Contributory Employment and Support
Allowance.
Entitlement start date: 9 April 2026
This is not when my award started, is it possible this is a renewal? Do you know if ADP will be added
Thanks
Mike

Hi M&E
I'm sorry, but I'm unable to say whether it is a review date. I don't expect ADP to be added as it is handled entirely by the devolved government, but I could turn out to be wrong.

It's badly worded (as with a lot of ESA letters) but the relevance of 9 April 2026 is that it's the date there was a change to your award. It's the date your benefit increased due to annual uprating. The next time there is a change to your ESA amount, the date will once again change.
