Well the results are in! Standby- ESA Support group, wait for it.........without a medical! And now its on with the DLA MOB claim. Havent had the letter yet but had £62.80 paid into the account on Friday. So thats the support group isnt it? Just thought I'd let you all know the good news. Message for Steve Donnison(hope I spelt it right!)if it wasnt for your guides I would never have won my case, thank you. There is hope for us all, keep fighting people.
The amount of £62.80 is not the assessment rate payment for a single person, but it represents two weeks payment at the support group rate ie £31.40 a week.
If you have been on ESA for fifteen weeks at the assessment rate, then as the support group rate commences from week fourteen, this will represent the arrears that are due to you.
If you receive means-tested benefits which may include housing and council tax benefits, you could be entitled to the enhanced disability premium providing you meet the conditions of entitlement.

Now I have been placed in the support group do I have to provide more "well-notes?" Thanks
No, you will not have to provide any more sick notes (not the ridiculously named fit notes as they are now supposed to be called), as you have been placed in the ESA support group.
From a number of recent posts in the forum however, there seems to be some question as to whether the DWP are letting claimants know of the requirement not to provide sick notes once they have been successful with the WCA. If the procedures have been followed correctly, both you and your GP should be told that sick notes are no longer required.
