awaiting esa appeal was created by suzanne
I have put in an appeal for Esa, but where do you stand on credits for your pension and prescription and dental charges while waiting? And how long do you have to wait for an appeal?

You can claim either JSA or ESA whilst waiting for your appeal. An appeal can take many months, I'm afraid.

On the assumption tha you did not score the 15 points required to get into the WRAG you should be receiving ESA assessment rate until your appeal is heard. If you did not request this be paid when your lodged your appeal, then you should contact the DWP as soon as possible, it should be automatic, but the practice seems to fall short.
With regard to your receiving pension credits, despite searching I can't find an answer for the Assessment rate. What will happen if you win your appeal is that will be back paid the difference in ESA and if not previously included, this will include the pension credits.
I think you will need to obtain and complete an HC1 form from your doctors surgery in order receive free prescription and dental care.
Tribunals dates appear to be averaging 5-7 months at the moment although there is some regional variation.
Hope this helps
