Hi if someone cannot walk at all without severe pain even with walking aids such as crutches or walking sticks will that be suffice to get that person into the support group for esa.

Please note that the revised WCA which is likely to be/has been adopted now no longer has a 'Walking' descriptor but a 'Mobilise' descriptor.

Ok if someone cannot Mobilise without being in severe pain using walking aids will that get someone in the support group

The current criteria are as follows:-
Walking or moving on level ground. Cannot—
(a) walk (with a walking stick or other aid if such aid is normally used);
(b) move (with the aid of crutches if crutches are normally used); or
(c) manually propel the claimant’s wheelchair;
more than 30 metres without repeatedly stopping, experiencing breathlessness or severe discomfort.
The criteria will be changing but the new test is not law at this time.
