Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Walking or moving on level ground
Cannot
c: manually propel the customer’s wheelchair more than 30 metres without repeatedly stopping, experiencing breathlessness or severe discomfort.
Hi
I was refused the support group for walking even though the Atos doctor stated i was virtually unable to walk he stated that i would be able to propel myself 30m in a wheelchair. This i am unable to do. I asked the DWP to look at it again but they refused.

Hi i cannot walk at the moment without using crutches due to osteoarthritis in hips and knees and then only about 10 meters before i have to stop due to pain.

headinawheelchair
There is an OR between items a and b and the one for c.
So if you cannot walk, then you do not have to prove that you cannot use a wheelchair as well under the current tests.

easy one no .. you can get a blue badge by so many means and its so abused too, that no way would they do that
you can get the blue badge for sight problems for example, but many people with sight problems work full time

I did ask with regard to mobility issues...i.e. unable to walk 30 metres without severe pain / discomfort etc....isn't that also one of the questions asked in the ESA medical?
