Couldn't agree more Catherine.

I guess things like councelling (please excuse my spelling) are going to be rarer and rarer with the further cuts to the NHS.

'Positive thinking' is not and never has been a cure for depressive illnesses!

Best wishes,
Rachel

I should just add that the £20 that I was paying was only just above the minimum contribution towards the costs. The full fee would probably be £40 to £50.

The DWP have wasted £1 Billion on the Pathways to Work scheme and have admitted that it has not made the slightest bit of difference in the number of sick people getting back into work. They could easily afford to provide counselling services if they stopped wasting money on interviewing claimants with no hope of working and placing them on courses that are of no benefit.

Thought it sounded a bit cheap! :)

What baffles me is that the government have had all sorts of advisers over the years and none of them have come up with what you mention!

I doubt all the medication I've had over the years is cheap, but no ones ever tried to 'cure' my depression.

Pathways to work is still being held in high regard with many despite the negative statistics!

They're all madder than I am!
