Re-examination: how soon after successful appeal?

If you win an IB, etc. appeal, are they more likely to pursue you sooner or later for a re-examination?

I won an appeal two years ago and wondered if they are (a) likely to regard this (proper judicial proceeding) as an affront and a challenge and get me ‘re-examined’ as soon as possible or (b) be more cautious with regard to people who appeal and leave them until last. Any advice will be welcomed.

I think it unlikely as it is a seperate team handling the transfer and whilst there have been a few anomalies, as far as we are aware they are still working off re-assement date as their primary method of selecting people.

Thanks for the reply. How would that work? Would it be three years from the appeal date, three years from the original Atos/DWP assessment or another date?

If you were not given a new re-assessment date after winning the appeal, then my best guess is that it will be 3 years from the appeal date, purely on the basis that this would have been the last "update" to your records. But it really is a guess.

You can try ringing the DWP and asking what you re-assessment date is, it is unlikely to prompt them to start the transfer as the front end staff are not really connected to those in the back office who would be handling it.
