ESA Medical Today

Hi Bro58When I worked I was in a very stressful job, and indeed originally got very "stressed out", eventually I learnt to cope by taking the attitude that I would only worry about things that were within my control, and not about issues under the control of others.
Your strategy seems to work with me as well. There's a lot you can do when writing your ESA50 or appeal submission, but once it's sent, all you can really do is wait or put it to one side.
Personally, if a frightening event is anything between a week and two months away, I don't see the point in constantly worrying for two months that it may be imminent.
Regards
Derek

Yes,Derek,
I think we both understand also that many people can't help suffering severe anxiety, and stress, because of health issues, and they have our sympathy.
Most of my many problems are physical, however I do suffer from very low mood, and depression, due to these chronic long term conditions, and indeed take meds for that also.
Stress can be unavoidable due to the "fight or flight" syndrome, and I think that DWP/ATOS would prefer "flight" with regard to claimants, and wouldn't that make it easy for them.
cheers

When waiting for a decision or payment it seems to take forever. However rejection arrives quicker.
It is easy for me to say don't worry but this may be the pot calling the kettle black.

Posting this on the forum hope somone is less stressed after reading it! Thanks B/Work for great info and help of MODS and all posters.
My original post:
Had my medical today ?
Hope this helps somebody in a state about it; as i was.
Not what i was expecting from all the posts on here (we were very cautious).
Pleasant receptionist called me by my first name and got my wife to sign for expences said cheque would be in post.
Medical was carried out by a Dr.
Who said he had read my medical evidence and by the questions he asked about my disabilities; without referance to them he had.
He asked questions (not all the ones on the 60 questions list)and typed alot;never examined or touched me physically once apart from to shake hands.
The typing i found encourageing because i thought he wasn't just ticking boxes.
It definately was not a bad experiance this time but who knows what future meds will bring.
As far as the outcome i will have to wait and see how many points he gave me probably 0; but then i would appeal.
They may be sneaky but this one wasn't an Ogre.
Good Luck All!!!
Result:
BEEN Placed in WRAG which is what i was expecting after reading the excellent guides.
Prepare, Prepare, Prepare. Nuff Said.
