As well as the LCWRA exceptional circumstances (substantial harm) criteria - is the fact that a mental illness is poorly controlled/uncontrolled another criteria for making it into the support group or have i misread the guidelines?

Also regarding seeking CPN support, what are the main differences in the roles of a CPN (community psychiatric nurse) and a mental health social worker? Who is likely to offer the most effective support/be most knowledgeable/easy to access regarding ESA/IB transfer issues and help with other benefits such as DLA and housing benefit?

Many thanks

Sorry Cat,

I am not really that well up on CPN's etc,
I only have a little second hand knowledge via my friend.

Hopefully someone with personal experience on this subject can advise further.

I am simply trying to make clio aware of the different options.

cheers

Thanks Bro58 and Xfactor - can anyone clarify my other query about the support group and a poorly controlled/uncontrolled illness - as Clio does state that 'nothing seems to help'.

Thanks

With regard to a poorly controlled/uncontrolled illness.

Whether it be a physical or mental health condition,it is the limitations that you suffer, re the condition that qualify you for LCW, or LCWRA, not the fact that the illness is poorly or uncontrolled.

These resulting limitation are the important issues that must be accepted as relevant by ATOS/DWP.
