still waiting

So, A week ago I got a letter from ATOS saying that I did not need to attend my medical regarding my ESA claim and that my file had been passed to the DWP decision maker.
How long should I realistically expect to wait for a decision about which group I will be in?
It's been a very long week so far ! The waiting is really wearing me out.

I'm afraid the time it takes the DWP to make a decision is impossible to guess. It will largely depend on workload and even the DWP would probably not be able to give you an accurate idea.

Atos sent my file back to DWP in August after telling me I do not need a medical and have been accepted as not fit for work.I rang DWP and they say they have not even got my file yet ! and round and round it goes ...
is this normal? I really am starting to feel very angry and frustrated. I just want to know which group I am in .The stress from all of this is terrible.

My atos50 was received on the 29/07/11 and I was informed by letter on the 24/08/11 that I had been placed in the WRAG without a medical, about a month, that was in Edinburgh.

Thanks Leester at least that gives me some sort of idea
what to expect . I had my hopes raised by ATOS who
told me I would hear from DWP with a result within a week
of them returning my file to them! Fools.
Imay as well try to forget about it then and try to calm down.
