Yes they all can be ignorant. I have just rang the JCP about copys of forms that i want. She asked if I was putting in an appeal, I said yes. She then said you will be found some other work and that only the termanly ill and really serious cases were in the support group.Utter waste of time.

I would simply say: I'm asking for some documents, not your advice and information.

Naw, you've got to ignore them when they talk nonsense. You have to get information out of them, that's the endgame. Don't get drawn into argument.

I never trust any advice given by JCP staff, Inland revenue, Housing benefit etc. as experience over the years has shown me they cannot be trusted to get it right. I remember going to a counter once asking some detail about HB, The woman had to consult her manual - the CPAG guide, I was flabergasted, especially when I had to show her where to look. I have also been given conflicting advice when ringing JCP a second time. The only people you can trust are B&W guides, even CAB needs an experienced advisor, its better to look in their manual yourself if you have access. But CPAG and CAB don't explain things like B&W does, glad I found you.

Lord Harringtom has recently said that he will be doing a tour of JCP offices to ensure that his recommendations are being adhered too.

So I would be inclined to write to him and put him in the picture as to what the advisors are telling you.
