No doubt, it will only be a matter of time!

Anyway is still a good idea to write to him as what is said will be taken note off and no doubt used in his second recommendations due this year I believe.
Not sure of an address or email for him though so will have to hunt for that.

I worked for the benefits system 19 years and years later because of cutbacks the newer staff only get a few hours training where when i started it would be weeks, also the staff are being cut and those left are having to do there best.
Even though i have left the dept I still keep upto date with the changes and maybe if I should stop trying to give advice to others as working for the JCP I obviously cannot be trusted to give correct advice.

I would like to say that whenever I attack JCP staff over incorrect advice given, it is never a personal criticism of the individual but the organization itself, unless the advice has a total lack of common sense.
The incorrect advice that this thread is about could well be the result of misguidance from their managers, which is why I was questioning the source of the information earlier in the thread.
I agree with EPH that advice given by JCP cannot be trusted but that is not a personal attack on individuals presently or formally employed by JCP. Advice, information, opinions and experiences posted on the forum by you and other members will always be valued.

Hi Derek,
I totally agree with your comments.
When people criticise an organisation such as the DWP, it is not an attack on a particular individual.
I should imagine that the majority of DWP workers are just ordinary people trying to earn a living.
On the other hand, claimants have every right to feel agrieved, when they receive misinformation that could mean the difference between being awarded the correct benefit or not.
While as you, I too value pamela's opinions, it is not up to claimants to make allowances for poor or inadequate training, especially with a government organisation.
cheers
