Yes it is just checked it. On it is my medical conditions and saying that I am incurable and will never work again. She also gave me a print out of things wrong with me and said I should be in the support group this I did not send. Thanks bro58.

O.K. col,
Did you keep a copy of the Med 3 cert?, and why didn't you send the print out and comments of your entry in to the support group as well?.
I would always advise that copies are kept of everything that is sent to ATOS or the DWP.
cheers

yes i have copies of the med 3. iam with a local charity that helps you with the form filling, and they told me to hang on to the print out and that the med 3 would suffice.I don't know if anyone dealing with my claim has seen it.

She typed a search in their system and found them. She said, "I don't think they will be any good to you" I told her to send them to me.
She then told me "you have to be terminally ill or severely disabled to get into the support group" This is not the first time I have been told this by someone from the JCP. I find most of the JCP people less than helpful mainly due to their lack of training.

Hi col,
I'm afraid it is very difficult for me to comment further, as obviously I don't have access to the actual documents that you mention.
I just don't understand why anyone would advise you not to send a printout that goes into details regarding your conditions, and supports your entry into the support group, to ATOS/DWP.
Unless they felt that there was content in this print out that was also unsupportive of your claim, as I have said it is hard for me to advise further.
cheers

Hi col,
If you have any doubts that the advice that you have received from the charity that you mention, is not entirely correct, have you thought of gaining face to face advice from a qualified Welfare Rights Advisor, at the CAB or other advice agency?.
Is the person advising you trained in Welfare Rights, or just simply helping you to fill the form in?.
Hope this helps.
