I got good news!

I have not had a letter confirming but have found out that I have been placed in the support group from wrag at the reconsideration stage of the appeals process. It took a long time – 7 months since my GL24 went in.

I would like to thank the mods and the writers of the guides as I wouldn't have been able to do it without them. So a big thank you.

However I do think the DWP might have made an error with my money. The reason I found out about the reconsideration was because I got a letter from them saying that a very large sum of money was being paid into my account.

On phoning we were told that I had been put in the support group for two years (same as my wrag decision) and that the money was 6 months arrears. But I wasn't expecting any at all – especially not a large amount.

I was transferred to wrag ESA from IB plus severe disability premium (IS) and my rate of ESA was topped up to match the two old benefits combined. I thought that this would stay the same when I was in the support group too. Hopefully I might get a letter explaining but you never know with the DWP especially as they are so backlogged at the moment.
