SG at appeal stage was created by Derekq
Hi Forum
Today brown envelope hit the mat have been waiting for this to arrive as I put an appeal in early this year, took a deep breath and opened it, it stated that I had been placed into the SG
Such relief, reading down the page it then says that "your case will be reviewed in 12 months" ummm I thought, that sounds like they will wait for 12 months before another ESA50 comes my way, or are they lightly to send one early prior to the 12 months ?
I am not letting the SG award cloud my thoughts as so many have had a ESA50 arrive sooner than expected after an SG award, seems that reading this site several are now being put into the SG at appeal stage like myself.
Strange thing was the descriptor that I was awarded SG on was one that I thought may not put me into SG but I had recent consultants letters to back it up.
My main descriptor where I believed I would be considered a safe SG candidate I did not get a mention, again I sent consultants/doctors letters in BUT these letters were not recent !!!
not sure if thats why they did not give SG on that descriptor, maybe you have to have up to date consultant/doctors letters to make it count, any thoufgts.
Finally, I would like to say THANK YOU to ALL the MODS for there time, effort and patience in what they do for us ALL without the B&W site life would be so much harder.
Regards, Derek

Congratulations on the award.
An ESA50 arriving shortly after a Decision usually happens when it has gone to Tribunal, not when the DWP have revised the Decision, so I would expect the 12 months to be valid, although you should probably expect a new form a couple of months earlier.
With regard the descriptors, once you have met the criteria for the SG, there is no requirement on the DM to continue assessing you, so this may explain why the other descriptors you thought you would meet were not looked at.

Hi Derek
I am just where you were months ago
Did you put an appeal in but were not sent for to be interviewed? I have posted my situation yesterday under ESA OPoints what happens now.
If you have any encouragement I would be very happy to receive it.
Thankyou

Great News Dq !!!
As I recall it, you were appealing The WRAG to SG.
Thank you for your comments regarding all at B&W, they are much appreciated.

Thanks for all the help and the info re; timimg of ESA50's being sent out, yes, I agree it doe's seem to happen after Tribunal's, so hopfully as this was an appeal reconsideration they will keep to there word of 12 months or probably just short of that as they will want to see me by the 12 months date I am assuming.
Re; the descriptors and seeming to ignore my older consultants/doctors letters seems odd to me but will "let it go" untill the next time we start the game over again.
Mrs HB
Thanks for noteing my placement into the SG, been almost a FULL TIME job

Yes, you are correct, appealing WRAG to SG, you must have a good memory with the amount of members you answer here, thanks for all the help.
I will be reading the posts nearly every day here as there are always things I can learn to take forward for Round 2, and if possible will help others if I can do so.
Seems ESA is a constantly changing beast that you must never take your eye off so I won't.
THANKS again to all the Mods here for your help.
