ESA new claimant was created by bobbyblue
I have applied for ESA Iam awaiting the dreaded ESA50 Form..I suffer from a number of ailments including Anxiety, COPD, and post bilateral mastectomy pain however I also have Urinary Incontinence. Here is an extract of my consultants letter "Mrs X has severe urinary incontinence with almost complete emptying of her bladder on some of these incontinence episodes, which can happen between three and four times per week. She has had urodynamics confirming the condition. She has had a number of treatments which have unfortunately failed to improve her sysmptons
Do you think this letter is sufficient to get me in the support group under the descriptor "bladder incontinence"....

I agree that the description of your problems suggests that you would qualify for the Support Group. However, I am afraid that I have seen cases refused that also appeared to be as clear-cut!

The Support Group Descriptor reads
I have underlined the key phrases.
Gordon
The Support Group Descriptor reads
8. Absence or loss of control whilst conscious leading to extensive evacuation of the bowel and/or bladder, other than enuresis (bed-wetting), despite the wearing or use of any aids or adaptations which are normally, or could reasonably be, worn or used.
At least once a week experiences
(i) loss of control leading to extensive evacuation of the bowel and/or voiding of the bladder; or
(ii) substantial leakage of the contents of a collecting device;
sufficient to require cleaning and a change in clothing.
I have underlined the key phrases.

Thanks Gordon
Having read the descriptor I definitely satisfy the criteria, but do you or any other forum members think the consultant has provided enough evidence to put me in the support group.....Feel like Iam grasping at straws because I know how hard it is to pass the WCA from the comments I have read here but its just opinions I am looking for..
Fingers and legs crossed, not that it makes any difference...
