Dreaded envelope again was created by sickofitall
Just received the dreaded envelope through the door again today. I got in the support group with no medical last time with an 18 month award which runs out in Jan 2014 so its a bit early. Just wondering if anyone has got in to the support group again with no f2f ....somewhat anxious this time as the form does seem to be a little different .M

Hi soia,

We would expect ESA50 forms to be sent out a couple of months ahead of time. Although many people are finding that DWP is backlogged and they are going past their expected date for reassessment, it looks as if you are 'lucky' enough to be in an area where DWP are on time!

As you say, the forms are different this time so be sure to make good use of our ESA guides

Hi

I got back into the SG without needing a f2f. I got 2 years this time, whereas it was only 1 year last time. Good luck.

Ok so I have read through all my previous ESA 50 and all the additional info I included and I wonder if apart from a few areas of my illness that have deteriorated much of the same info applies so what do I do here? Do I include all the previous info but with updates or start again?
Also which guide applies as the last ESA I had was before January 2013 and my illness and claim dates back years.
It's all a bit confusing and overwhelming. Do know if I fail to get them support group this time and I go to appeal and lose that then because my wife works there is point me claiming jsa as I won't get it so yeah worrying times here. Any advice welcomed. Thanks

There is only one set of guides that members should be using for new/re-assessments, these are under the heading Current Forms.

In principle you can copy the information from your previous form to the new one, updating as necessary, but you should make sure you fully understand the January changes before proceeding, in particular the change to the Regulations that limits what you can score points for.

Whether you would be eligible for JSA will depend on your personal circumstances, your wife working may be a factor, however, you are assuming a worse case scenario, you may well be placed in the SG again, and failing that the WRAG, so I would not worry too much about something that may not happen.
