Hi there
Just to let say that after ringing DWP, my daughter has been put in the SG - for 3 years. However, we haven't anything in writing yet; they said she'll be paid the SG from mid October - three months after the initial claim. They never said anything about a disability premium, am I right in thinking my daughter is entitled to this?
We will wait until we get something in writing and then ask about things if necessary, for example, how many points scored per descriptor etc. Can you think of anything else we could or should be doing? Thanks.
Finally, I would like to say a massive thank you

Congratulations on the award.
If this was a new claim then the SG component is payable from week 14 of the claim.
In principle she should be entitled to the Enhanced Disability Premium because she is now in the SG, however, this is only payable is also entitled to Income Related ESA either in part or in whole. If she is currently receiving Contribution Based ESA then she may be entitled to an ESA(IR) top-up to her ESA(CB), this will dependant on her household income, savings and assets, and any hours that a partner works (if she has one). See
Asset rule for ESA(IR)
24 hour work rule for ESA(IR)
If she thinks she is eligible for ESA(IR) and is not currently receiving it, she should contact the DWP and ask for an ESA3 form to be sent out, this captures her financial information to check her eligibility.
