Is this a first for ATOS?

I have just got my medical report back from the DWP – (no points, no surprise) however I am completely gob smacked that the Atos doctor has completely misdiagnosed what is wrong with me and committed it to paper .
This was despite me giving a very comprehensive description of my illness on my ESA50 form. Surely this must be a first for Atos?

The ATOS mistakes are far too common and shouldn't go unrecorded.

Complain to ATOS and to your own MP too. Others might be able to advise on this, would a complaint to the GMC be appropriate too if the assessor was actually a doctor? I've been reading several are under investigation by the GMC for their work with ATOS, maybe this assessment was carried out by a doctor already under investigation.

Definitely make a formal complaint to ATOS, Calan. This is just awful.

Also get your MP involved and send a copy to Anne Begg.

If the doctor's report was so incompetent as to be unprofessional then you may also want to consider making a complaint to the GMC.
