Hi, I submitted a MR a few months ago, following the advice on this site.I was registered as Severely Visually Impaired at the end of January this year and submitted a PIP claim. I was awarded full mobility, but no daily living (2 points short). I appealed as they didn't take in to consideration that I need supervision when preparing a meal (I enjoy cooking). I was phoned by the DWP last Friday. The lady was very friendly and understanding and even asked questions that I hadn't even considered for my MR. In the end she told my that I would qualify for Daily living and we would be back paid to March. A very nice Christmas bonus indeed.

Hi Dizzypole

That is really terrific news, well done and congratulations. Your post does show that there are some friendly and understanding staff working for the DWP.

I am tagging my reply so that the back office also get to read your encouraging post.
