PIP payment calculator was created by Steve D
Hi All, With fresh claims taking 5 months to decide and reviews potentially dragging on for a very long time, we thought a PIP payment calculator might be useful.

It allows you to work out how much you might be owed if you get an award for the first time or if your award is increased because of a review. It can calculate up to April 2023 It also goes back to April 2017, just in case you are looking at a backdated award because of a change in the law.

We'd be grateful if you have time to check it out and let us know if you encounter any problems. You can find it from the link below, or in the PIP drop down menu:

Many thanks,

Steve Donnison

What a great tool - thank you! After a few attempts, I found you have to select the end date before you can select the start date. I then selected the levels of award I hope to be awarded (new claim) and clicked calculate, but I just get £0.00 in the box. I am logged in but I’m using an iPad so not sure if that is affecting it or I’m doing something wrong. Still, a really useful addition to the website, thanks Steve.

Hi Mel,

We've fixed the issue with the start date now. If you select a start date that is later then the end date you'll get an error message. it should work on an ipad. Don't forget you have to choose which components of PIPyou think you will get and at what rates or you will get £0.00 as you haven't said you think you are eligible for an award.

So its still not working for me

Select start date of 29/06/2021 and end date 01/04/2022

And I get an error saying the start date must be earlier then the end date

Thanks Steve - I’ve selected the start and end date and the levels of award I think (hope!) I will get, but it still comes up as £0.00. It’s probably “user error” but not sure what else I could be doing wrong. Thanks again, Mel

Hi Nikki-White and Mel0308

Thank you for your feed back, not used it myself yet, although I do have a couple of live cases that I will try over the weekend to see if I get the same result as the calculator.

If it works then I will be using it frequently, at presenty I do it manually which is time consuming.
