Well I’ve just been lucky enough to win a leap reconsideration regarding descriptor 9. The calculation on your calculator agreed with the dwp almost to the nearest penny, and that was a backdate to nov 2017. So I can confirm it works well!
I sent in the b&w template letter in 2020, and didn’t get a reply, so sent it again last autumn. Had a pip review in the meantime, and still only got 2 points for descriptor 9, so I spoke to decision maker in leap team ( had to wait till I had my review outcome), who reconsidered my case, rang me back within an hour and awarded the 4 points back to 2017! Including going forward. Must say dwp very kind to me that day. Thanks to benefit and work for bringing all this to my attention!
