Could someone tell me when I send my review form back will dwp have my pip form and accessors report from four years ago. I was awarded enhanced for both daily and mobility for four years after face to face.Do they look at previous form and report from accessors and compare new review form to make a decision.

Hi motorhead,
In theory DWP will have the reports, I am aware that DWP often scrutinise previous reports, but then again, there have also been many incidents where DWP have just ignored a previous report showing many points. Hence the answer to your question is both yes and no!
I have no idea what they will do in your case! I think the only way to deal with this problem is to write a full review form, making sure that you describe the difficulties you have with PIP activities in as much detail as possible. Give examples. Use spare pages as required. (are sure you put your name and NI number on all pages.) If you need any more help, have another look at the members guides.
I hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice. I will be looking over the guides . Could you put in a copy of points awarded from four years ago in assessment that would help in case they haven't a copy.Has anyone done or would it be a bad thing to do. As stated I was awarded enhanced for both.

Hi motorhead,
I forgot to say something earlier. Firstly it is totally possible that DWP will accept you have the same ongoing disabilities or greater disability and reward the same or a higher level of PIP.
However sometimes for unknown reasons this doesn't happen. In order to correctly and legally downgrade benefit, DWP will need to be sure thst there is a clear change of circumstances. This is where DWP often fail. There have been several recent cases all complaining that DWP has failed to follow the correct law in thus respect. (The downgrading change of benefit following a review is called a supersession. )Tribunals have made it clear that the tribunal will need to be aware of previous claims and previous reports etc, because it is otherwise very misleading.
I think you can be proactive. You can say eg 'the assessor of X date, confirmed that I walked very slowly, and was unable to bend and noticed that I constantly talked with a stutter and struggled to talk properly. I still have these problems. The stutter has in fact become worse, and I have had unsuccessful back surgery in 2 occasions since the last assessment....'

There is no right or wrong - the aim of the game is to make it absolutely clear that you have significant disabilities that haven't improved and/or have become worse.
I hope this helps.

HI motorhead,

What a great idea to think of pointing out what happened, points scored and any changes that have occurred since your last assessment.

I wish I'd have thought of doing that with past renewal packs!

I would go as far as to say it could have got me to where I needed to be more quickly and as a result less stressed out.

I wish you the best of luck.

Regards,

Phrank.
