Hi phrank,
Hindsight is a wonderful thing! At least you have now arrived where you need to be.
All the best.

Hi LL26,

Thanks for your reply.Yes, you're right there: hindsight is a wonderful thing. I just love the idea proposed in this post. I will be advising this to anyone I know in a similar position, or even suggesting it on the forum.

Kind regards,

Phrank.

Hi chrisc,
To be honest I haven't a clue about what sort if review you might get. I have heard if both types of review for people of your age.
Please consider your mobility needs at this point. The law stipulates that you can't upgrade your mobility award after SP age. So if you have standard now you won't get enhanced after 66, if you have no mobility award at age 66 you will never have one. However, of your mobility award currently isn't correct then please consider asking fir a review earlier, to enable you to have the correct mobility award going forward after you are 66. Providing the review is instigated before 66, you can get the correct award, however long it takes for this to be finalised. Daily living awards can be upgraded to enhanced at any time after age 66 if your disabilities have become worse.
I hope this helps.

Hi motorhead,

I remember only too well how stressful the whole PIP palava is. Up until I got my ongoing award, it seemed to have taken over my life.

I can forget about it for the time being, but I don't trust the DWP and I can only hope they stick to their word and let ongoing reviews do what it says on the paperwork.

For now, though, my sympathies lie with the likes of you who unfortunately seem to have an endless fight to get what is rightfully theirs.

I wish you and everyone in your position very best of luck.

Fight on, I say!

Kindest regards,

Phrank.
