PIP Appeal following successful ESA Appeal was created by Minidax1
Hello, I am hoping that you can help; I recently appealed ESA and after the wonderful help of this site was successful- thank you so much. I now have the trauma of doing the same for PIP, I am awaiting the date etc, which is now late. I have to be honest, having never navigated the benefit system before, it is proving to be something you need a degree (at least) in. Do the ESA bods send PIP the appeal info to avoid cost/trauma etc and promote efficiency?
Thank you for your help.
It would seem to me to be more cost effective, less traumatising and 100% more efficient if the ESA appeal documentation was handed over to PIP

Hi Minidax1
Welcome to the forum.
You might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is; www.benefitsandwork.co.uk/guides-for-claimants/faq/forum
If only it could be that easy, there is talk that PIP and WCA assessments may get amalgamated but at present it is only talk which does raise it head now and again.
Dwp does have access to all records, if you have had a successful out come at a tribunal then send a copy of the decision letter to HMCTS, remember that most of the descriptors are different although a few do overlap. If you look in the guides there is a spread sheet detailing which descriptors overlap, it was written by a previous Moderator.
