The DWP are well known for saying they have sent out forms and letters when in some instances they really haven’t sent them.

Hi Rococo, I would phone pip yourself if you are worried about going past an extension date, no matter who is dealing with your claim.

I was given a year's extension, then another 10 months before getting my form for renewal and they have had my renewal form for four months. Sometimes they take it right up to extension date to renew and sometimes they can give you another extension date if you are still in backlog queue to have your renewal looked at, new claims are definitely being looked at first before those with extensions.

Also I have always had my renewal form sent to me nearly exactly a year before my award finishes to give them time to go through the renewal process.

Hope this helps

Hi Rococo,

Sorry, if it seems I'm repeating myself over and over again, but get your local MP involved!

They have always helped me in the past regarding the incompetence of the DWP.

Just Google 'contact my MP' type your postcode in the box and hey presto another box should appear where you can type in your query, complaint or whatever, and then 'hit' send.

You can also send any evidence by taking photos of paperwork, letters or whatever you want to them to see, and attach them to the email.

I hope this helps.

Most often a simple kick up the back end by an MP will wake them up.

Good luck.

Regards,

Phrank.

I think they are sending out review forms early ( or ‘not’ in your case!) is because they take so long to reassess, and are aware of their own backlogs. That way your review ‘should’ take place before your current claim ends.
