Gary one last question Am I right in thinking the cooking descriptor doesn't take into account use of an oven? Only heating food at or above waist height i.e. a hob?

Hi micksville
Interesting question you ask.
Cook means heat food at or above waist height.
if you look at our guide it states; Preparing food, you score points depending on what problems you have using a cooker.

Just to clarify, PIP considers cooking on a hob or in a microwave.
Problems using a conventional oven, even if above waist height, will not score points.

Hello again micksville
It's good to hear that you do at least have online access to your records. I can access both the 'Summary Patient Record' which as you say is relatively basic. But my 'Patient Record' is more comprehensive, and allows me to look back at 25+ years of my medical history. Extremely helpful for drafting a chronology for both my ESA and PIP applications.
