Hi, Noticed no Cost of Living payment so applied for it. Letter recieved today saying I am not eligible due to Esa not an eligible benefit but says IRESAis . So I am disabled and unable to work for +20 year get DLA. So should I get cost of living allowance especially since ESA is moving over to Universal credit. Cheers inadvance
From the sound of your post I would say that you are in receipt of Contribution Based ESA which is not means tested, therefore you would not be eligible for the cost of living payment.
In regards to your question of ESA moving over to UC, IR ESA will eventually move over to UC but CB ESA will not.
