I am writing this on behalf of my son. Unfortunately, i do not have the full information yet, But basically what is happening is , he was over paid UC , so deductions were made, but now he receives nothing and according to what I can ascertain they are taking deductions from what he doesn't receive and the debt has increased from £500 to £900 and continuing to increase. I know this is without a lot of information, I shall be seeing him and try and talk through the matter, he does not understand why this is occurring. Is it possible for them to make these deductions which is having a real impact on his mental state and his life in general. I will of course give more facts as soon as I am able. MP99
Hi Maxpower99, Unfortunately there really isn't enough information to advise. I suggest that you contact a local advice centre for detailed advice. Get all the paperwork you can. Check that the right income details has been entered. Ask DWP for breakdown of their figures. LL26
