Hi i was hoping for some advice please, my mum has a carer who comes in to help her (my mum gets pip) my dad also gets pip and lives with my mum.
Dad does not have a carer. This week my dad lost almost £50 per week, when he phoned the dwp he was told that he would get the money back if my mums carer stops her claim. Basically one carer per household. He was told the rules changed on 6 June. Is this a new rule or has there been a mistake? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

There is not enough information in your post to give you an answer. It would depend on what other benefits your parents were claiming.

You need to contact your local Welfare Rights Organisation to give you a definitive answer; you can find your local Welfare Rights Organisation to help you with advice by clicking on the link below and putting in your post code, it will then come up with a MAP with a list of agencies. advicelocal.uk
