Hello I am currently receiving DLA ,I am 65 next year and have not yet been called to go onto PIP. Could you please tell me if I will carry on on DLA and if so will I be able to claim PIP when I reach pensionable age. thank you J storytella
Thank you for your question, you raise some interesting points which I will try and answer.
1) The age of 65 is no longer relevant, State Pension age is now the relevent starting point which changes every two months, at present it is 66 then going up to 67 then up to 68.
2) As you were born after the 08/04/1948 then at sometime you will be asked to apply for PIP. As a guess I would say that your State pension age will be when you are 66 www.gov.uk/state-pension-age
