I received a letter on Monday saying I am getting the Warm Home Discount £150 Automatic Help with your energy costs.
I'm not on any means tested benefits I do get PIP and ESA Support group.
It also mentions about were residing in a property that had an energy cost score above the threshold as set out in the eligibility statement.
So I went onto the .Gov website and my property is classed as E rated so I wonder if this is why I am getting it.
There is no date to get it just before 31st March 2023

Hi MrH3020
You say that you get ESA support, which type of ESA do you receive; NS ESA, IR ESA or CB ESA?

Hi MrH2020
Tthank you for your quick reply.
I suppose it depends on your utility company, if you are with British Gas, they have a larger pot of money than other utility companies.

I'm ever so slightly confused now as I understood that PIP is not a qualifying benefit nor is ESA(CB) in England. I understand Scotland is slightly different. Is this correct?

Hi Sue CC
You are not alone, there were rumours going around that claimants in receipt of PIP would be excluded from the Warm Home Discount, but I came across many claimants on PIP who received the Warm Home Discount.
