I'm looking for a bit of advice. I'm in a bit of a quandary regarding answering yes or no to can I prepare or cook a simple meal. At which point does someone assisting you mean you can't actually cook or prepare a simple meal? They are assisting me so much they are actually doing practically everything. I cannot chop and peel veg due to a tremor, poor grip, hand and wrist pain and stiffness etc. I am in severe pain, severely fatigued and need to take breaks, and have balance problems. I'm unsteady on my feet and I've fallen on numerous occasions and scalded myself previously. I cannot handle sharp knives or hot pots and pans safely. I'm forgetful and have memory problems so have issues with leaving the hob on etc. I cannot stand for any length of time due to pain, fatigue, weakness, dizziness, balance problems etc.
Thanks for attaching a copy of the form. It's the first time I have seen it. It was quite a surprise with all the illustrations.
If I was completing the form, I would answer no. From what you have said, you wouldn't be able to prepare a meal if you didn't have a person to help you.
