First, if all they are suggesting is that you contact them if there is a change then I would request in your Journal that this is added to you claimant commitment.

Secondly, consider escalating the issue, this may require a call to the UC Helpline.

As to what could be included by you in your CC, I'll leave it to other members to answer, although I suspect many will ask why you would want to do this.

Re "As to what could be included by you in your CC...although I suspect many will ask why you would want to do this":

I'm not meaning I want to add 'tasks' but rather if there are any 'instructions/safety-nets' that I haven't thought of that I can request be added to my CC, so that unjust tasks are not suddenly added in the future causing me stress. Even though there are no work-related requirements on my CC, I don't trust the DWP at all to not add other types of unnecessary tasks to my To Do list in the future, like harassing me with treatment questions - when they have all the necessary info now already applicable for my long-term illness.

I need to try prevent all possible unjust and stressful eventualities now already. Benefit admin/assessments make my symptoms deteriorate even further and put my life completely on hold - I need to ensure now already that I have as little contact with them as possible going forward so that I can start living some semblance of life again.

Does anyone have experience of or has heard of a claimant getting a FIRST decision reversed/annulled/voided?
I have a peripheral aspect of my claim that my Case Manager stupidly put through for a decision where the info they submitted for it was obviously completely wrong. So of course the First decision was a ‘no’. It is glaringly obvious that my Case Manager is solely at fault, that I had nothing to do with it. I am definitely not naïve enough to expect all DWP staff to work competently or honestly, but because this peripheral aspect would fall under the processing of my claim I am just wondering if it is possible for this First decision to be reversed/annulled/voided – instead of my having to unjustly pay the penalty of my Case Manager’s seriously stupid fault by losing out on a First decision? I don’t want to waste a MR decision when the First decision should not have been made in the first place (or at least not yet). Surely someone high enough in the DWP is capable of reversing/annulling/voiding this First decision in this context? so that I can regain my First decision opportunity.

There is not enough information in your post to provide an answer, for example; what is this "FIRST decision" that you refer to.

Sorry, Gordon, I'm just trying to keep some anonymity...

So with peripheral things to a UC claim such as requests for certain service charges to be included; advance payments; backdating; payment date to be amended...those kinds of things requiring a DM to make a decision. So by "First" decision I'm meaning the first time a DM looks at the request and makes a First decision. (And then go back to my message last night about my Case Manager really stuffing this up...) When it's so, so obvious from my journal that the error had nothing to do with me, why should I forfeit a First decision when it should never have occurred in the first place in the way it did. Sorry I can't give any more detail than that - it's not important what specifically the request was for, but whether you've ever heard if it's possible for this First decision to be reversed/annulled/voided when the error for it is there in black&white that it was my Case Manager who stuffed up? I've been told I need to now request a MR (with the correct evidence at the correct time) but that is entirely unjust that I have to now go to the second round of decision-making when that first request was sent through in error and not by me.

If a Decision has been made then that is it, your only option is to request a Mandatory Reconsideration and explain why you think that the Decision is incorrect.
