I'm wondering if anyone can give me some advice, I had to go court to win my last PIP award that was for 5 yrs, ended in 2021, they sent me review form to fill in 11 mths earlier than my award ended but sent it in anyway. Its took em from Oct 2020 when sent me form to last week to get my decision of which I was awarded high rate for both, I was originally on high rate and standard rate so my award went up but on the letter they said they have made my award for a longer time period but including the 2yrs that passed before I just got my award they have given me until 2026
Which is not a longer period it works out 5yrs again. I'm never going to get better ESA put me on support group as not able to look for work so why should I have to go through all this again in 3yrs. I read somewhere that we were supposed to be getting an immediate 10yr decision for chronic debilitating illness, is there any way I can ask DWP FOR EXTENSION OF AWARD DATE. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME ADVICE. THANKS FOR READING

You could ring the DWP and ask for a call back from a decision-maker on why your award isn't actually longer when the letter says it is. It's unlikely, but they may say that an error was made.
The next option is if you can't get any joy from them, is to put in for a Mandatory Reconsideration and tell them you are satisfied with the award and only want them to look at the award length. I know of a couple of occasions when the DWP has changed the award length, but it is not common, as they are trying to decrease the length of people's awards.
I don't know what you read, but it is not "automatic" that someone with a "chronic debilitating illness' will automatically receive a 10 yr decision, even though they have said they want to lessen the amount of times people are reviewed if their condition has not improved.
