Good Afternoon,

I have been very unwell over the last few more months, my son wants to take me abroad for 1 week, will my Benifit’s be affected, do I have to inform the DWP Dept about go away for 1 week.

Hi Bernadette Ann

No, you certainly don't have to inform the DWP you are going to be away for a week, and your benefits won't be affected. (Obviously, if you have been informed or you are suddenly informed that you are having any type of assessment, you would need to contact the DWP to change the date of the assessment).
