PIP question 13 was created by Cam
Hi not sure if you can help. I subscribed and followed your guide, but still need some advice.
Not sure how to answer this questions to score points.
I have chronic back pain due to spinal degeneration/osteoarthritis.
Vaso Vagal symptoms, lightheadedness and dizziness, anxiety and sciatic pain in my leg and hand. All diagnosed.
Chronic pain every day, sciatic mostly at night and when walking and Vaso Vagal 5/7 days. I take my child to nursery, but going to other unfamiliar places I get anxious due to pain and vaso-vagal symptoms, which causes brain fog and loss of concentration.
Please help how to answer this question because they will say I can take my child to nursery. My daughter or my friends or family would sometimes help or follow me.
Also, I score 6 for daily living and 4 for mobility. At the time I did not know much about PIP when I have done the form and assessment, so I didn't put all my health conditions and how they affected me. I appeal and awaiting outcome. Wish I know about your guide before. I'm in the process of a new application due to change of circumstances. Should I report the same information with the changes in my health conditions?
Thanks for all your help and advice.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Hi Cam
Can I clarify something? You say that you are awaiting an appeal. Do you mean you have been through the MR process and are awaiting a Tribunal date? Then you say you are starting a new application. Have they sent you a review form because you reported a change of circumstances? I assume you are not putting in a completely new claim?
Re: the mobility - to get a higher score than you currently have - the focus is on unfamiliar journeys. You need to impress that the stress of an unfamiliar journey is very different from the familiar journey. You still experience stress on the familiar journey and that is why you have needed help - but the stress becomes unmanageable on unfamiliar journeys due to the added stress, which then leads to an increase in the vaso-vagal symptoms and the amount of pain. This means there are safety and reliability issues. (You know your condition better than I do - but you need to explain all the things that happened to you, like the loss of concentration, breathlessness - the danger of fainting.... etc.). Have a couple of answers ready for when you have tried and something has gone wrong and the fear that you feel. Remember, it is about how these things affect you in relation to the specific PIP criter.
