PIP Renewal Form Lost in Post Filled in By Somebody Else & Received by DWP?!

On the 3rd Oct I received a text saying a PIP renewal form was being sent to me.

It did not arrive so called PIP on 21st October to enquire.

They sent out a new form dated the 22nd Oct which arrived in the post on the 30th Oct

A couple of hours later on the 30th Oct I received a text from PIP stating they had received my completed PIP renewal form.

I called PIP yesterday 31st Oct to enquire what was going on?!

It would seam my original PIP renewal form was not only received by somebody else at a different address but also filled in and returned to them hence the text.

The PIP handler pulled up this completed form and told me it was definitely was not my signature!

The handler just told me to complete the form I received on the 30th and send it back to them.

Given I trust the DWP has enshrined in me I have concerns that they will still use somebody else's PIP form over the one I'm yet too send?

Thoughts please on next steps?

My PIP ward isn't due too end until Jun 2025

Hi speedy101

The DWP send out renewal forms up to a year before the award end date - so it is not surprising that you have been sent one. I would write down everything that you were told yesterday and send in a letter to the DWP confirming that conversation and what you were told - so it is added to your records. Make sure that you keep a copy. That means if anything happens in the future - then you have a record of it.
