Insurance claim capital was created by sususushi
Hi people

I was unwell and vulnerable (police involved) and UC classed an insurance claim for theft as capital income after i provided all evidence as asked. After mandatory consideration they accepted the money recieved is not capital. How long do i have before it will be classed as capital?

They stop taking taking % of money they give me from lcwra but they dont appologise in the letter just they will give money back that went over the limit and set my capital to low amount now it like i dont have it. I obviously want to replce what was stolen but i keep relapse and going down hill and just sort of coping at the moment. Will i have to provide bank statements for a third time when i spend the money or can i just give reciept of car?

Hi Sususushi

You talk about theft in your post. So you would have had an interview with DWP Compliance or CFIS. You should go back to the officer who led the investigation for the details you need.

Hi Sususushi

I am not able to advise you what to do. Can you contact a local advice agency such as Citizens Advice or Community Money Advice ?
