Hi Can anyone say how long its takes on average for a home medical regarding ESA.

Bearing in mind the whole process should take 13 weeks for claiming ESA from begining to end,will that mean that a home medical will be completed in this time limit.

A domiciliary (home) medical assessment for ESA should according to the letter of the law be completed within thirteen weeks, but there was a time when all ESA assessments were taking considerably longer than the prescribed time, although I am unaware if this still continues to be the case?

The only way to get a definitive answer to your question is from Atos who conduct the assessments. Give them a ring where they should be able to advise you accordingly?

It is impossible to say how long you have to wait for a Work Capability Assessment (medical).

Although as you say, the process was designed to be completed within 13 weeks, with the ongoing migration of IB/IS claimants to ESA there is some 'slippage' is the system at the moment.

Thus how long it takes is impossible to even guestimate.
